My name is Aude. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I offer both face-to-face and online therapy services.
With expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and discrimination, I offer a compassionate and insightful approach to therapy.
As a therapist, I believe that positive change is possible, even in the face of life’s challenges like low self-esteem, work-related stress, or family issues. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This empowers you to develop resilience, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful changes that enhance your well-being and quality of life.
My current research on discourse analysis focuses on two key areas: memory and intergenerational trauma, as well as the societal representation of childless women. Through this work, I have developed a profound understanding of how trauma, loss, and societal expectations shape emotional and psychological well-being. Whether you are experiencing feelings of isolation, unresolved grief, or the pressure of societal expectations, I offer a safe and understanding space to explore these emotions and find meaning.
My volunteer work as a counsellor with various charities has also given me invaluable experience in supporting individuals during challenging times, particularly in areas such as grief, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
I have also worked in higher education for nearly 20 years, dedicating my career to supporting young adults throughout their educational journeys. This involves helping students navigate the challenges of academic life, manage exam stress, and overcome obstacles that may arise during their studies. My experience has enabled me to guide and empower students as they strive to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Positive changes are possible.
I aim to create a compassionate space to explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to discover more about yourself.
My approach revolves around listening to your unique story and exploring how you describe yourself. Together, we will gently unpack the meanings behind your experiences, which will help you gain deeper insights into who you are and how you connect with your life's journey. My goal is to create a compassionate space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to discover more about yourself in a supportive and understanding environment.
If you have any questions about my qualifications or therapeutic methodology, please feel free to ask. I am happy to provide any additional details that may be helpful.
